Summary
Captain Grant Curly leads the lackluster crew of the run down Tulpar. Their sweet old mechanic is passive aggressive, the nurse has a penchant for inflicting burns, and the intern spends his time whining, high, or skirting rules. At least the co-pilot is happy, despite often being the butt of everyone else's jokes... Other than his growing worry that the others, especially Nurse Anya, are pushing a wedge between him and his best (and only) friend.

...and when Curly thought they would be wrapping up, he was actually the one who brought it up, “So what was that earlier about checking for cancers?”
Anya snapped her ungloved hand, “Thanks for reminding me Captain! Let me grab the lube,” she said as she stood and walked toward one of the drawers on the far side of the room.
Suddenly Curly’s mouth felt dry, “The what?” He said, dumbfounded.
“Well, Captain, it’s never too early to check even if the recommended age is forty-five, and besides I don’t know your complete medical history so for all I know you’re at an increased risk for prostate cancer.”
Curly felt like his brain was slowing to a halt, “Prostate…?”
“Yes, don’t tell me you’ve never heard of a prostate exam.”
“No…but…me?” He pointed at himself, hapless.
Anya smiled kindly and nodded, “Yes, Captain, it’ll be fine, just relax and it’ll be over in a moment.”
“Have you done this before?”
“Nope! But weren’t you the one who said you’d never have a nurse give you an easier flu shot?”
Curly’s heart was pounding, he knew he was blushing now. Fuck, it was just a prostate exam. Anya was so normal right now. The thing in his gut was writhing. Normal!Bookmarked by coolguynice69
