Summary
Kotoko, a young tiefling Barbarian, was rescued by an adventurer's guild from an evil underground ring, where she and other children were brainwashed, corrupted, and forced to work. She becomes a ward of Eladrin Barbarian Toko, who was on the raid to dismantle the ring and has a soft spot for children despite her vehement denial of the fact. Even though Kotoko has been freed, she now has a great deal of trauma to work through—especially the abuse she faced as a tiefling—and is finding it difficult to control her rage and fear. Toko notices Kotoko's struggles, and together with tiefling bard Ibuki, the two show her that she is safe now.
