The 4th of July isn't the best for Matt Murdock. First, the blast is ear shattering, and makes his eardrums physically hurt. Second, how he sees them in his vision of the world on fire is very comparable to an explosion. Third, the taste of the gunpowder in the air leaves a toxic taste in his mouth. Overall, Independence Day isn’t a fun time.

“Matt, this is a terrible idea.” Foggy says as he looks down at Matt from his doorway. “For one, they already have an attorney. That one galaxy guy- Bam?”
“Foggy, they have two attorneys on the creator’s side. The Boss might as well have two.” Matt sighs, and stands up.
“We both know that we aren’t winning this case. Come on, they have at least three witnesses- we have two at most.” Foggy groans. He clearly has no hope for this case.
