Peter Parker, the cute guy from the coffee shop, unforgettable for his awkwardness and glassy eyes (and the way her heart beated at double time, almost jumping out of her chest to reach him), dancing under the purple lights of the nightclub and lacing his arms around the waist of a girl she doesn’t know but doesn’t like anyway.
Jealousy isn’t one of Michelle traits, definitely not for a guy she’s seen one time in her life months ago. It was just one time, doesn’t matter how much she wanted him to come back to tell him more about MIT, to show him how well healed the cut in her forehead is, just a faint scar in its place ─“It really doesn’t hurt Peter. I’m fine. You could kiss it better, though.”
Dreams and fantasies plagued her mind after that first encounter, filling every corner of her brain and spilling in her notebooks as drawings that shape and recreate his eyes, his hands, his wacky eyebrow and curly hair.
But it was just that—fantasies.

Peter, hands stuffed in his pockets, seemed to face a moment of acceptance then, rather than the panic that Tony had been expecting. Although, a kid gutsy enough to have done what he did, to still be surviving after having lost as much as he had, maybe he was actually better under pressure than anywhere else.
“A denial would be offensive, right?” Peter asked simply. “To your intelligence and stuff?”

“Be safe,” she tells him, as she always does, and Peter simply smiles at her with his clothes already halfway kicked off, his suit on underneath. “And text me when you get home. Please.”
“Always,” he promises, their places now switched as she’s now sitting on the bed, him standing above her with his mask in hand. He plants a kiss on her temple, thumb gently caressing her cheek, before pulling back, the fondness all too evident in his eyes.
MJ likes that they never say goodbye as she watches him climb out of her window and swing into the distance. It’s a silent promise of sorts that he’ll come back to her.
She knows it’ll always be this way, hard and a little bit complicated with everything that he holds himself responsible for. But they’ve waited long enough to get to this point between them, and she thinks all of it is worth having to wait just a bit longer for him to come home each night.

Delmar's Diner is the only place open all night long, so it's the perfect place to rest and refuel after a long patrol.
On a less relevant note, it's also the only place where the waitresses are as quick, sarcastic, and pretty as Michelle Jones.

She looks down almost-embarrassedly at the compliment, hands fiddling with the fake ID in her hands before she reaches a hand up to tuck a strand of her now red hair behind her ear. Finally she looks up at him again. “Thanks, but I think you mean Mary-Jane,” she teases.
Peter laughs at the teasing comment, warm blood rushing to his cheeks uncontrollably. “It’s gonna take a while to get used to that.”
