    Qifrey hunched himself over slightly so he could lean into Olruggio’s chest as hot water hit their skin. He wanted to ground himself here at this moment, hands dancing over Olruggio’s skin, but he could feel panic setting back in. The water reminded him of the dream where he was drowning, water choking him and dragging him down.

    “Hey, don’t go where I can’t follow,” Olruggio whispered in his ear, bringing the other back to the moment. “Stay here, stay with me.”

    Thunder strikes just then. Tethia feels a shiver run down her spine and concedes that she can’t stand to stay out of the wind and the rain any longer if it means only catching glimpses of what is going on outside. “Jeez, stop saying scary things!” she scolds as she runs to join the rest.

    “No, but there really is someone out there.”

    And—well. Peering outside, there indeed seems to be.

    A thunderstorm hits, Qifrey isn't home for lunch, and the girls assume the worst.
