Summary
This following work is a sheer, unapologetic indulgence for the author because they love Miles Maitland. The narrative here is less about the plot and more about the delightful, sinful, and deeply embarrassing spectacle of Crowley’s profound loneliness. So, when he finds a human who looks like an unholy, fluffed-up echo of his deepest desires, he can’t resist. He wants to touch the fame, the bright, fleeting light, even though it's not his own and it leaves him feeling even more empty than before.

Summary
So, there was the Second Coming. Not the first one, everyone remembered how badly that had gone.
In the middle of it were an angel and a demon, who once had far better days. Now, however, each was absolutely convinced they were protecting the other. Which was very noble, very touching, and if you looked closely enough, very, very stupid.
And so the world ended again—or perhaps didn’t—because of two idiots who never could quite manage to stay on opposite sides.
