Diluc and Kaeya had promised themselves to each other since they were small and soft and innocent. And although it had been a pact influenced by their childish nature, it was a pact grounded in the way that they had always felt made for each other. So even though Diluc had been hurt and grieving and had shut Kaeya out and ran away from home, he couldn’t bring himself to break this promise. Even if Kaeya had likely broken it first. Diluc couldn’t seem to let that piece of Kaeya go.
