“Awww our puppy is now a kitty. How cute,” Ricky said with that laugh he tries to hide by covering his mouth with the back of his hand. As if Gyuvin couldn’t still hear it. As if it didn’t still make his heart turn over and over and over in his chest.
Gyuvin tried to frown, tried to look put out, but it’s hard to stay committed to the bit when Ricky looked like that. When his face was glowing under the soft cafe lights and he had soft cat ears on his head and a real cat in his lap. When his eyes were glinting with mischief and fondness. So Gyuvin gave up, and let the smile bloom.
“You’re so cute, Rick,” he said, like it was fact. Because it was.
Gyuvin and Ricky go to a cat cafe, and Gyuvin just falls in love a little deeper—just as he always has. How cruel for his poor heart. But really, he doesn’t mind at all. Not when it’s Ricky.
