The next puck drop was with Ilya and Hollander across from each other. Shane was focused and unaffected by Ilya’s presence, which was unacceptable. Shane didn't get to act like this was a normal day.
"Going to run away again." Ilya taunted letting himself be bitter, "Maybe pick up some girl to take home?"
Hollander tilted his head like Ilya was the one being strange.
"No? I'm married, dude."
The puck dropped, but Ilya didn't move, the world a blur around him

None of them had gotten that violent in their play, although Adrian knew well enough that other humans–and therefore almost certainly vampires–did.
Of course, that line of thinking only looped Adrian around to the thought of bronze skin and lean muscles and fangs glinting in a delighted smile. Thoughts of that fucking cravat and how he had loosened it and what that neck would look like bare and wrapped in pale hands.
What would happen if Adrian drank from Olrox, god-blooded as he claims to be?
