Summary
"Bellamy," she says, she can barely get it out.
But he hears her, because he turns around with a warm smile. He's happy to see me, Clarke thinks. Then she watches his expression shift into something resembling panic as she begins to fall.
He lunges for her, but he can't make it in time. Clarke hits the ground, but she doesn't even feel the impact. Bellamy is over her in a second, asking if she hit her head, holding up fingers. I didn't hit my head, she wants to say, and that's not how you check for a concussion, but there's no time.
All she can make out, as she feels Bellamy's arms around her, pulling up is, "Don't take me to medbay. Don't let anyone see."
"Clarke…" he says, and she knows he wants to fight her on this, but there isn't any time to fight.
"Promise me!" she says. "Promise!" and then she's out before she can hear the answer.
or, a post s2 canon-divergent AU in which clarke after returning to camp (of her own volition), realizes someone is poisoning her and there's only one person she trusts enough to help her find out who.

Summary
Bellamy and Clarke have been English professors in the same department for four years when Bellamy's ex-girlfriend comes to town as a visiting professor. She's been invited to read the short story that all but ruined Bellamy's life. Little does he know that Clarke has a history with Echo too and will do anything to get under her skin. Ensue an elaborate fake dating scheme designed to prove to Echo that she's wrong for what she wrote in her story and that she's wrong for what she did to Clarke.
The only problem? Bellamy and Clarke have been enemies since the day they met. If they're going to convince Echo they're together, then they'll have to get through the next few weeks without fighting. And if that's possible, then who knows what could happen next?

Lincoln sighs, dropping the spoon. “And then?”
Her blue eyes flash. Then the anger fades. “You’re right. If you let me go, I’ll kill you. That’s the way it has to end. For one of us, at least.”
Lincoln lifts the spoon to her mouth. After a moment, reluctantly, she drinks. They do this in silence until the soup is gone. He can see in her eyes that she’s ashamed, that she feels weak, powerless. So he gives her an offering, the only one he can think of. “My name,” he says, “is Lincoln.”
She looks at him, and is he dreaming or is there a ghost of a smile in her eyes? “I’m Octavia.”

"Clarke, listen to me." He grabs her face in his hands, fingers tingling with the sensation of her clammy skin under his hands. "I need you to save the reprimanding for later, when we're out of his place. Let me save your life first, and you could yell at me when we're done." He stops to slow his heartrate with a sharp inhale. "Got it?"
Clarke doesn't have the strength to answer him, so she nods slowly.
Bellamy doesn't have supernatural powers like his friends, so when he's closer than he's ever been in finding Clarke when she's stuck being experimented on at Polis Mental Institute, he really wished that he did.
