“It’s a family tradition. Maggie did it, my mom did it, my grandfather, my great grandmother– It goes way back.” He looks a little embarrassed. “I know this wedding is kind of far from anything my family would deem traditional–”
“Maggie’s certainly seeing to some of it.” Tim laughs, his head knocking against Hawk’s collarbone. Hawk draws him in easily, laying a kiss to the crown of Tim’s hair. “Sorry, go on.”
“It’s okay. I just… thought it might be nice if we did… you know,” Tim gestures to Hawk’s hand. “This.”
“I got it, Skip. Don’t worry.” Tim beams up at him. Hawk is so, so lucky. Tim is so beautiful. Hawk's sort of crazy about him.
