Summary
“‘Morning,” Robbie says as he turns on his computer.
“‘Morning, sir,” comes the reply from behind James’ monitor.
Not until he sits down at his desk to wait as his computer slowly comes to life, does Robbie see James’ face. He looks awful. His eyes are red and puffy, his gaze watery, and most unusually, he’s wearing his glasses. James blinks at the papers in front of him on his desk, pushes his glasses up to rub at the bridge of his nose, then resumes typing at slower than his usual speed.
“What happened to you?”

Summary
Then, when I can still feel the ghost of his touch, when his scent lingers on my skin, he’ll push me away and I will be left with one more open wound. I start the car and drive away.
