“Hey, I’m Hansol; I’ll be your server.”
The patron jolts in his seat, his head shooting up to look at Hansol with a surprised face as he clutches his hands to his chest. “Wah!”
Hansol throws his hands up instinctively, eyes going wide. “Oh, my god, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.”
The young man presses his hands to his chest, staring at Hansol for a second before squeaking out, “You didn’t scare me, you just… surprised me.” He’s still catching his breath.
Hansol feels his face soften a little. He’s usually stoic with the few guests he has to interact with; he finds it gives them reassurance that he knows what he’s doing and he’ll get them taken care of. But this guy… There's something different about him. His bright brown eyes, hair dyed a dark auburn, cozy sweater, thin glasses… he seems sweet.
And, obviously, easy to surprise.
