Was Fintan truly the bad guy? Is Bronte always grumpy? Who were Fintan's friends who died? Why did Bronte react so badly to feeling positive emotions inflicted on him bu Sophie? I wanted to write a story that began from when they were both young, starting before they had manifested, and ending just before the everblaze incident. This is both to help readers sympathise, understand, and answer the questions about these two characters.
