Summary
Objectively, everything has gone horribly wrong. They failed to protect the kids, and now Vecna has them in his clutches, just like he took Holly. They all nearly died, and half of their group is in another dimension. The military probably wants to bury them alive.
But Mike still has hope. He’s still holding onto that wonder he felt in his chest like a wavering flame against the wind. Maybe it’s stupid, but in his mind, Will is proof that miracles aren’t lost on them.
Mike and Will talk after the horrors of the military base attack. Truths inevitably come spilling out.
