He doesn’t breathe. He can’t. Some part of him is screaming to get up, move, damn it, but his spine is completely frozen as though he’s been petrified.
Because Hunter has a painfully intimate knowledge of curses. Curses took the core of a person and twisted them into something dangerous. Even if the beast in front of him was fundamentally still Eda, that didn’t mean Hunter was safe.
