Summary
Donghyuck has been pining after Mark Lee since the first year of high school, and now they’re four years deep and Donghyuck’s feelings are still hurtling towards imminent heartbreak. He's always been an impulsive decision maker, but he should have thought a bit harder on this one.

"Mark Lee is the biggest idiot he’s ever met, but god, does Donghyuck love him with every inch of his being."

Summary
Donghyuck can’t stand his neighbour, Mark Lee, who lives in apartment 403. Sure, the guy has a breathtaking smile and unfairly perfect hair, but that’s not enough to make up for the constant bickering. Whether it’s over noise complaints or stolen laundry machine time, they argue every second of the day.
After a year of nonstop squabbling, the building manager finally has enough and forces them onto shared cleaning duty. Naturally, another fight breaks out. But this time, the tension doesn’t burn out, it ignites into something else entirely.

Summary
“You never curious?” Donghyuck asks. “Like, not at all?”
Mark licks his lips. “About what?”
The question comes out quieter than he means it to, almost shy, which pisses him off more than if he’d stuttered.
Donghyuck doesn’t rush the answer. He looks at Mark like he’s thinking about it, like he wants to make sure he says it right.
“About how good it can be,” he says.
Mark inhales slowly through his nose, holds it, then lets it out.
This is always how it goes. Not just tonight. Not just this game. Ever since the first time they played against each other, there’s been something off about Lee Donghyuck. Something that doesn’t fit neatly into rivalry.(or, Mark and Donghyuck have been rivals for years, and most of their matches aren't really about competition).

Summary
Mark must secure a match by the end of the courting season if he wants to secure his claim to the throne. The choice is obvious—Huang Renjun, crowned the season's diamond.
It should've been simple.
But then came Donghyuck.

"You're not a diamond." He brushed a kiss against Donghyuck's temple. "You're the full sun. You’re fucking radiant.”

Summary
This was the part no one knew—the secret they’d been keeping for months. Donghyuck had made him promise not to tell a soul, and Mark agreed before he even thought about what that meant. No one in the band, not even in Donghyuck’s polished circle of friends knew about it. He would’ve agreed to anything if it meant getting to push Donghyuck down against the mattress after, if it meant hearing that soft, wrecked sound he only made when he forgot to hate him.

What started as something casual between Mark and Donghyuck turns into everything they swore it wouldn’t be — messy, painful, and impossible to let go of.
