Summary
“She’s an angel,” Louis said at last. Because all he could think about was how she was the most perfect thing he had ever seen. How badly he never wanted to be without her. Despite not knowing of her existence until that night.
“Notre petite ange,” Lestat agreed, admiring. “She is beautiful, Louis.”
“She looks like you,” Louis added simply, before he had the chance to stop something with such implications from leaving his lips. It was true, however. It must have been the truest thing he could have said in that moment.
It was a paternal thing to say. But then, he did feel so paternal towards her already. It was stupid how real it felt, how he was letting himself believe they could parent a child when they wouldn't even look after each other.
OR
An expansion of Louis’ inner monologue on the night they first brought Claudia home.

Summary
“This is not my fault!” Vergil argues, slamming the brake with his boot, the impact eliciting a jerk forward from the duo in their seats. While Dante’s hand clutches the panic bar with rightful fear, Vergil angrily points at the biker, who seems almost just as furious as him, if not more. “She needs to realise that she’s not in a bike lane!”
Dante pinches the bridge of his nose, letting out a sigh that was equally relieved he was still in one piece, and frustrated from how his usually completely competent brother just couldn’t hack driving. “Yes, Vergil.” He responds, lifting his face from his hands and shooting Vergil a look of disbelief. “She’s not in a bike lane. She’s on the pavement. And so are you. ”
“...No I’m not.” Vergil retorts sharply in an effort to avoid the admittance of his own mistake. He could drive. He could definitely drive. It was, like he thought, easy . Red Grave just needed better road signs. How the hell could he be the problem?
or
In which Vergil has a month left for his driving test. Nope, twenty-six days exact. Keep the change, buddy.
