Summary
By all accounts, Haruka Sakurai should be dead.
He was surprisingly content in his final moments- he did right by Muu, his new mother, and he was able to feel her warmth as she held him in her arms, like he’d always wanted his mother to do. He couldn’t ask for a better fate than dying with her soft praise ringing in his ears…
But as it turns out, those final moments weren’t so final at all.

“What do you think, Mi-chan?” Ena asks him, though she’s not even looking in his direction. Her voice is uncannily empty and Akito lost track of how long she’d been curled up in front of her computer hours ago. “You think it’ll help find him?”
Akito lifts his head from where he was resting it by Ena’s mouse and risks a glance at her monitor. His own face stares back. He tears his gaze back away immediately, an uncomfortable feeling bubbling back to life in his stomach.
“Really?” he quips instead, “My school ID picture? So you do hate me.”
