Summary
There is nothing Simon Snow loves more in life than football. And there's really nothing in Baz Pitch's life other than football.
Baz Pitch is the star player of Mummers United FC, a low tier club he's singled-handedly put on the maps, along with the tiny northern town of Watford-on-Mummers. Simon Snow is a footie fanatic, founder of the MumU supporter section, and owner of the Sun and Goat pub. He's built a living out of watching Baz play, and it doesn't even matter that they haven't spoken since they were kids. Simon knows, no matter what, Baz Pitch is going to be the greatest player England has ever seen.
So why is Baz Pitch living in a middle terrace in the middle of nowhere, day drinking and doing (bad) yoga?

Summary
"“Pour your own tea,” I say, as my hand grabs for the teapot and tips it into a cup against my will. I can tell that I must look gobsmacked. Penny has an identical look on her own face, but Baz just continues on unfazed, smirking the tiniest bit.
“Three sugars, please, Snow.” I don’t think Baz has ever said please to me in his entire life, yet it still feels like he hasn’t, because, even as I tell him to get his own sugar and choke on it, my hand adds a ridiculous amount of sugar to the cup."
When Simon's magic backfires and he casts a compulsion spell without realizing it, he's forced to follow all of Baz's orders until he can find a way to break the spell. Baz is less pleased than expected.

Summary
In our best times, it was always the two of us and the bed that we shared, was only yours, only mine, 1.40m wide. It was the best time, not one centimeter for fights. The horizon's wide and other beds are soft but what we have is enough.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Can you hear it too?”
“What do you mean?”
Silence. Daniel breathes quietly next to him, so close, so warm, too much as always. He feels their hearts beat in sync, all-consuming and too real. Nothing and everything at once. It burns in Max's lungs and he lets it, writes love declarations and promises he wouldn't dare to say out loud on the walls with the ashes. No one sees the fire inside of him, surrounding both of them, swallowing them whole, a shadow on the ceiling, silver lining, moonlight, a car honking outside. It's not what Daniel means.
“This.”
Max hums in confirmation, scared to break the magic with his words, scared that it'll all be over if he recognizes it as the big thing it is, if he addresses it now. Daniel smiles, presses his warm lips against Max's forehead, holds him too close, and offers so much more than Max can take or return. There's barely enough space for him to move away. Max would never ever want him to.
