Summary
High school is already hard enough when you’re a social outcast with no friends—Uzi certainly didn’t need the extra hassle of a mysterious death orb crash-landing on her head and forcibly merging with her systems. Now her sensors are glitching, she’s haunted by visions of places she doesn't recognize, and her processors won’t stop replaying fragmented nightmares of painful experiments she’s never actually experienced—at least, she doesn’t think she has.
Meanwhile, agents N, V, and J have been deployed undercover as new students with one mission: locate the stolen artifact and neutralize any threats before the situation spirals out of control. Trained to covertly protect the public from entities even their own agency barely understands, the last thing they expect is for their prime suspect to be the awkward, snarky goth girl with the social skills of a kicked vending machine.
