minjeong can imagine it now, because jimin had to have noticed how minjeong had been looking at her, right? something ridiculous like: ‘participant experienced heightened hypothalamus activity and dopamine levels upon seeing the physical characteristics of the study leader’. it will be documented in beautiful cursive that minjeong is attracted to jimin and shared with at least two other adults; just kill minjeong now.
in order to write her senior year thesis, yu jimin invites kim minjeong, a complete stranger, to attend couples therapy. it goes about as well as you would expect.

Summary
Not even Seulgi can deny it after all, can’t deny the existence of dots she’s been quietly connecting the past few weeks in moments of quiet and heartbreak.
The crossed out dates on Jaeyi’s calendar. The confession about how lovely it must feel to be at the bottom of the ocean. The self-sabotaging of her grades during finals. The giving Jeyun away. The pushing Seulgi away.
Everything points to the fact that Jaeyi killed herself, and had been wanting to do it for a very, very long time.
Seulgi’s heart, the poor thing, breaks beyond repair.
“There was no body.” Seulgi says, like a rehearsed speech. “You can say whatever you want, but what you’re not going to do is tell me Yoo Jaeyi is dead. Unless I see her with my own two eyes, then Yoo Jaeyi is not dead.”
She’ll say it for however long it takes for her to believe it too.
