Judging by what this kid said, there had to be at least three other people. Happening again? Was this kid familiar with the portals? Did this kid summon the portals? No - that couldn't be it - he sounded a bit surprised. No one is surprised if a portal they were trying to summon actually works. Unless they aren't very good at summoning portals…

Kaveh didn't really appreciate the attention or gestures of love his admirers gave him. He found it odd that people were willing to give him so much for free. He at least wished people would give him something useful, not flowers that didn't match their house’s aesthetic or a basket of fruits he already bought from the market yesterday.
So the thought of what to get Kaveh for his birthday was troubling Alhaitham. What exactly did his roommate want? What did he deem ‘useful’? A letter set? Kaveh had already bought one last month. New plates? But there isn't anything wrong with the ones they already have…
Would he like a rent-free life?
He reckoned Kaveh would already be showered with gifts from his admirers on his birthday, so would he even care if Alhaitham got him something too?A.K.A.: That one Frieren scene where Himmel lowkey PROPOSES to Frieren and she stays oblivious...but it's haikaveh >:)

Alhaitham scoffs and scrubs his hand across his face, discomfort etched on his stern features. “I just–look. I need your help.”
Kaveh nods and tilts his head, waiting cautiously. He can count on one hand the number of times Alhaitham has asked him for help, so in a conversation that has already started relatively pleasantly, he’s really not sure what to expect at this point.
Alhaitham needs a date to an Akademiya event, so he plans to drag his roommate along.

"And you were so excited about coming back here", he continued, this time looking adoringly at Heizou's sudden flushed face, "I'm sorry to disappoint you, my darling. I should've made a reservation beforehand, but I just didn't know if you were going to say yes."
"My darling", Heizou repeated dreamily, his eyes surely giving him away but at least the girl was completely buying it.
"Oh my archons! Don't go, I'm sure I can get you a seat, just wait a bit."
