For Arafune, it was a week of herding six other rambunctious teenagers in a paradise of sun, sand, and no adult supervision.
Two groups of eighteen-year-olds (and Yuba) accidentally merge vacations, spending a week at the beach together. The more the merrier, right?

Liminal spaces are the in-between. The transition places, like hallways, staircases, school supply closets. Places nobody’s meant to spend any permanent time. These places aren’t comfortable, you’re not meant to exist there in any way that counts. They are the stages in between one event and the next. Places or moments in time between the real stuff, slipping in the small gaps before and after the important things. Spaces for the forgettable.
Nothing that ever meant anything happened in a supply closet.
