Summary
They say that for banryu, it’s common to fall in love at first sight. That instinct will drive them to find the one who’s suited for them, who completes them. That he’ll be able to find them by scent alone, drawn together by an unknowable force.
Sungchan’s heard this parroted at him throughout his life, from when he was just a child wondering how his parents met, to now, twenty-one and being forced to attend marriage talks every weekend. But he hasn’t felt that spark, that something yet, and he wonders if he ever will.

Shotaro was twenty-one when he fell in love.
He remembered it clearly: a dinner party, too many men crammed into too few booths at hot pot, his voice barely audible over the racket everyone else was stirring up, someone next to him saying, “They’re always like this, aren’t they? Want to get out of here?” and Shotaro with no choice but to agree because it really was too stuffy and loud for his comfort anyway.

“Sungchan-hyung, we have a meeting later, I don’t know if you remember,” comes Anton’s voice, muffled by the door. “Um, I don’t know if you’re decent or not, so I’m not going to come in. Don’t go back to sleep!”
In his arms, Shotaro grumbles, making a low noise before he pops out of the blanket, blinking sleepily up at Sungchan. Sungchan can’t help it— he cups a hand around the back of Shotaro’s neck and drags him closer, planting a kiss on Shotaro’s forehead.
