    “Dinna be calling him that!”

John’s the one who’s recovering from a near-death injury after a Revolutionary War mishap…and Jamie, who’s watching over him, is not too pleased when a visitor from his past enters the room…

Ultimately, this wound up progressing into a story about John’s evolving relationship with Jamie (and Claire, and maybe some others) so settled for a vague/weak title for now.

Jamie Fraser already had one great love. He never expected to feel anything for anyone again, least of all for a stubborn, infuriating, (impossibly handsome) English Lord. But John Grey is stirring up desires that Jamie thought long dead and a man can only resist for so long.

Kind of a "What if" Jamie actually wanted to sleep with John, before he went back to Scotland.

Triage. I can’t stop thinking about the scene where John and Claire comfort each other in An Echo In The Bone, so this is my John/Jamie version.

Claire had done many things to escape Black Jack Randall. Upon their third meeting, when she gets captured by the Captain again, before being able to return to her own time, she decides that telling the truth for once might be worth a try.

Strangely, it made me think of St. Ninian. I wished Jack was more superstitious, like Dougal. I wish there was a jug of that sulphurous water at hand, that primitive truth-serum that would make him believe me when I told him I wasn’t a spy, the Crown’s enemy or a threat to his relationship with the duke.

I didn’t have time to waste on such wishful thinking, yet the thought was persistent. There was, after all, another way. And what did I have to lose?

Written for the Outlander Bingo Challenge. The first chapter fills my "Consequences of a truth serum/spell" field (not that literally).
