Wei Ying pried out of his touch, and Lan Zhan let him, only to turn around and almost throw himself onto Lan Zhan. “Lan Zhaaaan!” He pouted briefly, “You didn’t reply when I called, I didn’t know where you were!” Lan Zhan was holding Wei Ying up now, since the shorter man had decided he didn’t need permission anymore before jumping up into his arms and off of the floor (not that he ever asked when he had started doing it, anyway).
“I was putting the champagne away, I only just finished setting it up since you’re home early. Happy birthday, Wei Ying.” A kiss was placed on his cheek, and Wei Wuxian froze.
