Summary
“Eat shit tomorrow, Verstappen.”
“Yeah, whatever,” Max replies easily, downright bored. It’s a drag of a performance, the shit talk. He collapses back against the sheets, legs still dangling off the side of the bed. Waste of time, when George is just riling himself up to come back over, drop between Max’s knees. He loves a routine, though. “Crash and burn, Russell.”

Summary
And – there. He’d not even been conscious of it, and he’d hardly call it lap-ruining, Max’s over-correction to the subtle movement a total overreaction, but. He switches to his onboard and it’s as if the steering wheel jumps in his steady grip, fights him like there’s a magnet on Max’s car as he passes before he realigns.
Weird.

George Russell and Max Verstappen would love to stay out of each other's way. Their cars have another idea.

Summary
“Alright, Joshua. I am in your corner. But I mean it – unimpeachable professionalism, or we find you a race engineer so old and decrepit that not even you can swing it.”
Joshua’s hand on his heart, eyes brimming with sincerity. “Sir, you’ve got absolutely nothing to worry about.”
--
So, he absolutely has something to worry about.

Summary
Alright, so he’s sufficiently sleep-deprived enough to admit it. He’s no better than the drugstore checkout line Classic Car magazines for middle aged dads who can’t even drive manual but fantasize about taking Joshua’s spot anyway, since he’s not doing anything worthwhile with it.
He’s sick of this post-Sonny season, too.

Summary
Daniel drinks another martini and a half, says, “You’re lucky I’m on blood thinners. I used to handle my liquor way better,” as he sets the unfinished drink on the table and offers Armand his arm again.
Armand sits next to him this time, their bodies turned in toward each other as he cradles Daniel’s arm and drinks. The blood gives him a headrush, and he blinks rapidly to attempt to clear his vision. This time he leaves the wound for longer, lets blood drip down toward Daniel’s wrist before he laps it up.
“Fuck,” Daniel murmurs as he watches. “That’s more like it.”

Summary
I’ve lost my mind, Daniel thinks, still lavishing kisses to the chest of the creature that killed him. He says the next part out loud: “I fucking hate you. And you hate me. So something is making us do this.”
“I don’t hate you,” Armand pants. “You mean nothing to me. Don't stop.”

Summary
The issue with Mark Hoffman was, to put it mildly, that the man was borderline repulsive.
So, why the fuck did Peter Strahm still want to fuck him?
Running into one dead end after another when the local mass-murdering maniac still looms at large can really take it out of a man, you know? Sometimes, it's really just best to take a step back and unwind—and (because there's really no winning if you're Peter Strahm and strapped for options) you might just need to do that unwinding with your most annoying, pain-in-the-ass coworker. Fun times at the Metropolitan Police Department for everyone!

Summary
Kramer, a man in Adam’s friend’s apartment building, died expectedly and without mystery. He left little behind save for a typewritten film criticism of The Gordon Record. In lieu of any family or friends to accept the work, Adam saved the manuscript and resolved to get it published on Kramer’s behalf.
While editing it and verifying the sources, however, Adam quickly realized there was no record of the film’s existence; no digital copy, no release date, no showings, and not a single article or interview related to it or any of the people involved in its creation. Here sit hundreds of pages of analysis and works cited for a film that isn’t real, compiled by someone who can’t tell the difference.
SAW House of Leaves AU. May or may not make sense whether you’ve read the book or not.
