By now you’re full-on laughing, but you manage to point. “I just… I’m sorry, but I think that plushie looks like you.”
Bob looks over at one of the plushies dangling from the ceiling of a basketball game. His jaw goes slack in surprise and then he doubles over, shoulders shaking in silent laughter. “Not the beaver!”
“It even has your glasses!” you insist.
“Dammit, he’s so cute,” Bob laughs, face in his hands. “ Can’t believe I’m gonna have to fight a beaver for your affections.”***
