    She didn't hit or punch or kick. She didn't pull out a remote control and…

    Beast Boy leaned his head into his hands as his entire body shook with a sob.

    Why wasn't she mad at him?

    Or maybe the better question was, why did he want her to be mad at him?

    Because he knew how to deal with anger now. Because anger had been the only constant in his life for months; it made sense to him. He knew how to suffer through it and the best ways to keep another's rage at bay for as long as possible.

    But this?

    He didn't know anymore. Nothing made sense and everything hurt; it all hurt so goddamn much and it just wouldn't stop, no matter how hard he tried not to think about it and not give in to it. It just didn't stop.
