The boy looked over at Nancy. “I’ve never seen her with any.”
Three glass-shattering bombshells all at once. Nancy hadn’t spoken since the second grade, possibly earlier. Nancy didn’t have any friends. And the third bombshell, which happened in Robin’s head, being Robin might be the only person in this entire school to hear Nancy speak.
