    Jimmy should be used to it by now. He really should be used to it by now. He had a roommate who sleep-floated and broke doors on a regular basis. Not to mention the exploding alarm clocks and snapped faucets if Jimmy startled him.
    Quiet, calm voices were a must when rooming with Superman.
    But Clark didn’t look up from his staring contest with the desk. His eyes were flickering between a weird glowing teal that erased his irises and turned his pupils off white, their normal sky-blue shade, and bright burning red, as a bead of sweat trickled down his temple. There was a pot of water with a thermometer in front of him and he was perfectly still. Jimmy wasn’t sure if he was even breathing or had forgotten that particular detail of playing human.
