Watching Saxon and Lochy together has always been strange for Piper. Ever since she can remember. Even when Lochy was just a baby, though it was a different kind of strange back then. Strange in a sense that Saxon had far too much responsibility for a kid his age.
He was only ten when Lochy was born. Piper was four and she doesn't remember Lochy as an infant. Not really, but she does have memories of him being a toddler. Somewhere around two.
She remembers seeing Saxon rush to Lochy's playpen first thing after he got home from school, every single day. He’d have been twelve. Twelve years old and practically a parent.
He was making bottles and changing diapers, and oddly enough, never seemed bothered by it. He was walking around the house with little Lochy on his hip like it was nothing. Sitting on the floor to do his homework, so he could let Lochy run around the living room freely and watch cartoons.

“It's perfect. It is, but…” Lochy pauses to let himself breathe. His chest feels tight.
There have been many, many times Lochy has wanted to kiss Saxon, but this time…. this time’s different. It's affecting him in so many ways. Heating up his stomach. Changing his breathing. Making him feel like if he doesn't, he’ll literally burst at the seams. Just completely combust.
“But there's something else I desperately need from you.”
Lochy presses a hand to the side of Saxon's neck. His brother's skin is warm and thrumming under his fingers with his pulse as Lochy leans in and presses his lips to Saxon's.
He keeps his mouth closed, just gently moving his lips against his brother's. Pressing and puckering soft and slow. A way to test the waters before diving in.
