“You’re sending me away?” Lark still couldn’t believe it.
"It's only for a month, Lark." The cold, uncaring edge Lark found in his father's voice was so alien.

Summary
It’s Daisy who invites her to drinks, a few weeks into Basira's new job as she’s starting to adjust. There’s a couple others in the dingy, decidedly non-exclusive pub when Basira arrives, but it’s Daisy who shifts in the booth to let her in, who splits rounds with her, who listens even if it’s in brooding silence. Basira appreciates that in a colleague. And, well. It's really attractive.

Summary
Snippets of Daisy and Basira’s relationship during the course of the podcast, following the shift in the dynamic between the two of them as I see it. This is flavoured a little by how I see the two of them through the lens of someone who ships them.
Excerpt from Chapter One; "I live close to here,” Daisy said, voice unsure compared to her normal brusk tone, “If you want to come for a drink?” The offer was light and there was no pressure there, just a simple offer between colleagues. Even now, Basira didn’t know enough about Daisy to call her a friend, which was what made her think twice about going back to her flat. Anything could happen to her there and no one would know, even though she hadn’t ever felt threatened by Daisy. She knew what she could do when she wanted to, the power that Daisy held.
“Sure,” Basira nodded, and Daisy started to walk again. It turned out that ‘close’ by Daisy’s estimation was still another 15 minutes of walking, and by the time they’d made it back to her flat the cold had settled into their bones."
