Summary
Jon had perhaps not noticed how heavily the Lonely grasped him. Not when the cold set deep into his bones, causing him to shiver no matter how many layers he threw on. It certainly wasn’t when his thoughts became a fuzz, Beholding acting rather lazy right alongside it, slow to give him answers, slow to even let him process. Like something was shoved in between himself and his patron, where nearly nothing stood before.
Perhaps he started suspecting when he once again stopped existing around people. They hadn’t forgotten him, in the very least, but if he stood too still, it was like they could walk right through him…
He’d often find himself caught staring off into nothing, the sound of waves so strong it drowned the rest of the world out. He didn’t want to look away.

As the knife digs deeper into his boyfriend's chest, a thought occurs.
It's not a clever, or a really deep thought, but it sticks onto his mind as the damaged, bleeding world starts to crumble around him.

Sasha's first day as Head Archivist at the Magnus Institute is fairly normal- well, as normal as a first day can be when you work in the Archives. It's *nothing* like artifact storage, that's for sure, but it's still a bit creepy. What, with the knowledge of the fate of her predecessor.
Even still, things do not truly get weird until about 11:37 that night.
And then Ceaseless Watcher tells its first story.
And then the Distortion meets Tim
And then Prentiss comes

When Sonic finds himself pulled into the second storybook world, that of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, he's given a plea unlike those he's used to, one that paints him a villain instead of a hero. With a magical (and bossy) sword at his side, Sonic learns how to duel, explores a world ripe with magic, and fights knights to find out the truth.
What had pushed this land to such a state? Why was Merlina being hunted down? Why did the knights seem so distressed? And is King Arthur truly past redemption?
(A Sonic and the Black Knight rewrite with a lot more introspection, and with the addition of Galahad, Lamorak, and King Arthur as true characters.)

The collision was as brutal and electrifying as he’d expected, and he barely noticed the growing darkness in the world around him as his eyes slipped shut, weak and overloaded from the force of the impact. It took him a while, apparently, to come to. “Ugh,” he groaned, holding his head. “1.21 gigawatts.”
It was then that he noticed the other hedgehog sprawled on the ground next to him, knocked out cold. Evidently, he hadn’t recovered as quickly as Sonic had. Which made sense, the guy had been fighting all those GUN agents before Sonic and his team had shown up at all. It was only natural that he’d be tired.
It was strange, but Sonic felt strangely drawn to him. Maybe it was the fact that he’d never met another hedgehog like himself before. Maybe it was the amazing power he’d seen from him. Maybe it was the fact that he’d finally found someone who could keep up with him.

Gillion traced Chip’s scars, eventually making it across his stomach and towards his hips. As his fingers trailed over Chip’s skin, he asked questions about each of the scars. Where they came from. How old he was when got them. How long it took to heal. A hint of amazement appeared in Gillion’s voice the more stories he heard about Chip’s scars, a soft smile evident in the sound of his voice.
And then Gillion’s fingers found themselves tracing a different sort of scar.
