Summary
“Wha… he's not a girl, he’s that dude I had a fight with this morning,” Sirius turns to James, explaining. Surely Severus has it wrong. “Right, James?” He looks at his best friend, looking for a confirmation.
“Yeah, that’s Remus Lupin, you can’t—” James shakes his head but is interrupted by Severus, unable to finish his thought.
“Technically, it is a girl,” Severus shrugs, a smug smile on his face, acting like he’s already won the bet before they’ve even set all the terms. “She might have changed her name, but the gender on her documents still says female.”
“James, what is this fucker talking about?” Sirius furrows his brows, asking James to be his interpreter like many times before.
“Sniv… um… Severus, this is wrong.” James interjects, doing his best to get Sirius out of this. “He clearly identifies as male, you can’t—” James stands up from where he’s sitting, his intention being coming closer and in between Sirius and Severus.
“They don’t have to end up going to the dance, ok? Lupin just has to agree to it and I’ll consider Black the winner.”
