Buggy is a 30-year-old recovered addict. After a more than difficult childhood, as well as several bad and abusive relationships, he is finally getting his life together. Maybe he has to share a shitty flat with his friends and they all struggle to make ends meet, but their circus shows are not doing too badly. Buggy is fine. Yes, maybe sometimes the stress of planning the shows feels like it is crushing him. Yes, maybe sometimes he feels a little lonely, but at least all the toxic people are gone from his life. He is fine on his own. Just fine.
Crocodile is a 38-year-old rich lawyer and businessman, and he is doing great. Money, power, and sex whenever he wants it, no strings attached. Ever. He just likes it that way. It’s not like his traumatic childhood has anything to do with the fact he never had a relationship, only one night stands and short flings. No, he is totally over all of that stuff. He doesn’t need anyone. He is fine on his own. Just fine.

They were a sweet couple. Both of them had terrified Buggy on meeting, Crocodile towering over him, Mihawk with a Resting Bitch Face Buggy couldn’t read. But as they curled up on the couch, Mihawk putting his wine down to massage Crocodile’s stump and smiling at Crocodile’s anecdotes, Crocodile regularly referring to Mihawk for his opinion and interpretation of events, their bodies fitting together so comfortably it was hard to imagine them with anyone else. Buggy could see what they each saw in each other, what they each did for each other.
It gave him a pang of jealousy he quickly stamped down. He didn’t have time for love and togetherness, no matter how much his heart yearned for it. No one would settle down with him and his debt. No one would settle down with him after the amount of litters he’d carried, even if his body was fine. No one would settle down with him with his habit of falling apart.[Omegaverse AU] Buggy is a surrogate-for-hire, and his recent couple are their pups are worming their way into his heart.
