“That doesn’t sound so bad, Gguk.”
Namjoon is drinking his coffee while attempting to look like he’s listening to Jeongguk relay what happened yesterday. His stomach is a bundle of unsettled nerves, wolf distressing heavily. He keeps feeling like he’s done something wrong, but he has no way of knowing. It's already 3p.m. and he hadn’t seen Jimin in his usual places.
“But it was, hyung, I’m serious. I haven’t seen him since, and the other side of the bond is… Sad. I’m just worried.”
Namjoon looks up from his book to cast Jeongguk a pitiful glance. “I’m not making excuses for him ditching you, but it sounds like he got scared.”
“Of me?”
“Jeongguk, do you forget who you are?”

“Hyung, go out with me,” Jungkook says, putting his cup noodles on the counter with a sense of purpose.
Yoongi’s heart jumps and he feels heat plume into his cheeks and down his neck. His stomach flops upside down when he looks up from his own cup noodles. Looking at Jungkook from across their kitchen, he feigns annoyance to the best of his ability. He can’t stand how flustered he feels. Especially because that’s exactly what Jungkook wants! The hybrid wants to see him swoon like a lovestruck child.
“You’re— Jungkook, don’t be ridiculous,” he replies coldly, “No.”

“oh shit, are you okay?” jungkook looks alarmed and even more so once he looks at the shoulder he bumped. “is the kitten okay?”
and yoongi can’t help laughing. jungkook’s face was priceless. (holly is okay, yoongi knows because she’s pawing at the skin of his neck, her tiny claws making pleasant little scratches—but jungkook’s face).
“it’s okay, jungkook. don’t worry,” yoongi says with an unintentional playful lilt, smiling up at the tall boy. he pulls the kitten into a makeshift cuddle/hug for emphasis.
a corner of jungkook’s lips twitch up, and he mumbles something that sounds like ‘good’. the sight has yoongi’s heart gratuitously stuttering in his chest.
