He'd wake up with tears in his eyes, thinking that this was his old life, that Kuroko Tetsuya the policeman came first, and Kuroko Tetsuya the criminal was the interloper. He felt, deep in his soul, that both Kurokos were loyal to the men they had pledged themselves to, and thus both betrayers. He was at cross purposes with himself.
