Edward is still and quiet. He feels his already-made fist curl deeper, his nails leaving crescent marks on the meat of his palm. Every word from Jule feels sacred, uncharted and unfamiliar but Edward supposes there are multitudes of Jule he doesn’t know yet. They’ve only been friends for three months, there is so much to Jule he hasn’t seen yet or he wishes he doesn’t have to.
This one falls under the wishful thinking of not having to see it.
