    Peter is a comic books fan, which is probably pretty weird considering he's an actual superhero, but whatever. He's made peace with it.

    Now an adult with a full-time job to juggle on top of his Spider-Man duties, he doesn't have time to read most releases for his favorite characters, save for one: Deadpool. He keeps up religiously with Deadpool. Even has a poster of him on his wall, and even occasionally talks to that poster just to keep the crippling loneliness of his double-life at bay.

    Deadpool's newest and most mysterious series, Deadpool: Arrival, is... strange. The plot is paper thin and pointless, none of Deadpool's usual crowd shows up, and his fourth wall breaks are... weird. Like, weird weird. Uncanny, some might say.

    Or, really, one might say. Because the longer Peter reads, the more he begins to realize that all those fourth wall breaks, all those weird asides, seem to be tailored to one person, and one person alone: himself.

    No one knows Spider-Man is an Omega. Not the newspapers, not the NYPD, and certainly not the overly loud, definitely obnoxious, sort-of-a-good-guy, completely Alpha, Deadpool.
    And Peter would like it to stay that way.
    But when he drops into an unexpected heat, Deadpool is the only person he can call to help, and how quickly the Alpha switches from shouting dirty innuendos to whispering comforting things really throws Peter for a loop.
    After sharing a heat, Peter is convinced that Wade is his Alpha, and is ready to take him as his mate, but Wade rejects him.
    Wade knows that a man like him wouldn’t make anyone a good mate, much less a perfect, pretty Omega like Peter. So he says no, pushes the Omega away and unable to even work together anymore, they go their separate ways.
    Peter is devastated, heartbroken, seeking comfort in the arms of another Alpha, and all Wade can do is watch from a distance, and keep telling himself that he is doing the right thing, sparing Peter a life of disappointment and pain. Peter deserves better than him as a Mate, and one day Peter will understand.
    It’s Better This Way.
    But is it really?

    “You have no idea, do you?” Wade asks, putting his elbows on the table and resting his chin in both hands.

    “Idea about what?” Peter asks, squirming slightly in his seat, nervous under the scrutiny.

    “How fucking cute you are.”

    That throws Peter for a bit of a loop. No matter how he thought his day was going to start out, he certainly hadn’t imagined it ending with Wade Wilson flirting with him. Peter lightly kicks Wade under the table in retaliation. “Don’t call me cute.”

    Wade seems to take that as a challenge. “Then what should I call you?”

    “Peter is fine.”

    Tony is a 27-year-old disgraced omega working as a nanny. His summer consists of taking the child in his care, Natasha, to the community pool.

    Alpha Steve Rogers is the 18-year-old, ridiculously attractive lifeguard of said pool.

    When Tony meets him, he feels like he’s been punched in the gut and his omega instincts immediately go haywire. But Steve is nearly ten years younger than him. And definitely out of his league. Plus, there’s the whole ‘he’s sworn off alphas’ thing.
    It doesn’t matter how blue Steve’s eyes are. Or how spectacular his muscles look, all wet and glistening, as he vaults out of the water. The two of them will never, ever happen.

    Steve, though…Steve’s got other ideas.
