He's arranged this short moment in time for the two of them to be alone - the last that he will allow himself to be in her presence in the physical world. For she must know the true depth of his lies before he departs from her forever.
Of anyone in the world, she knows him best - his mind, his motives, the way he thinks. He can't allow her to see how much influence she still has over him. How she may be the only one who can turn him from the path he's determined to walk alone. He must turn her away from him, once and for all.

“Ah.” There’s a twist in his chest, like an arrow wrenched free, pain and relief all at once. “The heart of a god is not easily won. I would require yours in return.”
She laughs a little, as if he’s jesting. “That hardly seems equal. A mortal heart for a god’s?”
“Your heart,” Solas says, in a gentle correction. “For mine.”
