Summary
Skid Row is home to the lowest, the weirdest and the minorities that society chose to keep quiet about. Mushnik is one of the few people with an Omega male hidden in his basement. He wouldn't have felt sorry for the boy if he weren't family.
Audrey loves Seymour, she really does, but the younger male can’t financially provide for her like an Alpha could, he’s not even legally allowed to own a house!. This leads to a very horrid arrangement. Something Seymour isn't quite sure should be allowed, alas, Omegas are rare, Betas are boring, and the Alphas in town…are just downright crazy.
Orin Scrivello, DDS, is a handsome bastard; he’s also got a house, a motorcycle and a decent career. He can feed you dirty pickup lines all night, but that's about as far as his social skills go. He knows the streets of Skid Row like the rotting teeth on an alcoholic, so Mushnik is not surprised when the well-known sadistic dentist ends up at his door, declaring he’s there for his ‘girlfriend’.
Musknik should have known better than to let an Alpha in the shop. Especially one that would steal away his pay packet in the basement.

One thick vine wrapped itself around his waist and pulled him close to the lukewarm flesh of the plant. He thrashed, trying to struggle away, but the vine’s grip was firm and unyielding.
“What are you—”
“Hasn’t anybody ever hugged you,” Twoey asked. “It’s supposed to be comforting.” Seymour had been hugged before, by Audrey plenty of times. That was comforting. This was not. He tried to tell her as much.
“Relax, Krelborn,” Twoey interrupted, voice smooth and sweet. She brushed his sweaty hair out of his face with a leaf. “We’re friends, right? It’s not like I’m gonna hurt you.”
