This fanfic is so good. Sometimes it's a little cringe for me, because I keep forgetting that this is in Britain. Their British slang during intimate scenes is amusing.
Chapter 13: That was painful. Straight-up rejection. (Awkward kissing scene.)
Chapter 19:“You told me last night you were gay,” Edwin blurts out.
“Edwin, I can’t be–” he pauses, lowering his volume, “–gay,” he finishes quietly, “I like girls. I kiss girls. I do shit with girls. Like, sex shit.”
This was incredibly funny to me. And, is nobody concerned that almost every 2 chapters, someone is (close to) getting beat up? Hunter harasses him like that. Okay; sure.
Chapter 21: Charles feeding Edwin chocolates and then panicking about it. Tragic. Their communication skills are horrid.
Chapter 29:Edwin cocks his head, “You’ve said that before, I think.” He looks to the ground, “It is a shame that the whole world is never enough for you.”
“I’m in love with you,” he repeats. He isn’t smiling. Edwin hates that his first love confession is quick and rough and expectant.
Good introspection from Edwin. My favourite chapter so far, it's very hopeful and well-written.
