Lang Qianqiu practically stomps over to the room Qi Rong had entered, swinging the door open.
“I swear to the gods-” and falters.The room was filthy. Walls nearly bare from torn wallpapers and carpet stained with god knows what. It was cramped too, the air humid and musty, hardly any ventilation in sight. Lang Qianqiu’s eyes darted around the room, before his gaze fell to the corner. On a decrepit bed against the wall was a huddled form, staring at the two of them with wide eyes.
“A child?” Says Lang Qianqiu.
“A fuckin’ kid.” Qi Rong confirms.

Qi Rong felt a stab of vicious amusement. A fresh peal of laughter shocked itself from the recesses of his body. It rattled up through his diaphragm, convulsive and somewhat painful.
“Pathetic?” Qi Rong’s voice voice emerged on a shallow rasp. “You, you think I’m — ohhh, now that’s fucking rich, isn’t it?”
Lang Qianqiu manages to capture Qi Rong. The question, then, becomes what to do with him.
