Summary
Sebastian Sallow went to Azkaban for 9 years. Finally released, he has no one and the loneliness is painful.
He sees an advertisement for an escort service. He just needs someone to pretend to be his friend for one night.He meets "Amelia" who is used to having to pretend to be what men want. But Sebastian doesn't want fake, he wants real. It's hard for "Amelia" to learn how to embrace being her true self.
The two find companionship and eventual love in each other.

Summary
Once students have graduated Hogwarts (and are at least 18 years old), they are invited to stay over the summer for the "Courting Season". A time meant for all graduates to court and romance Victorian-style.
Despite not sending Sebastian to Azkaban, Eleanor is still haunted by that night two years later. She would have preferred to never speak to Sebastian again until they are forced together in a school project. This paves the way for understanding between the two.
An understanding which leads to mixed and complicated emotions while they each deal with the drama of Courting Season.

So begins a "cruel summer" where they begin a friends with benefits situation. She knows it's a bad idea given that she is secretly in love with him, and he is not in love with her. She can't have his heart, but she will force herself to be content with only having his body.
