“Mhm,” Kiramman hums, her arms now crossed right under her chest and Vi tries really hard not to let her gaze drop away from the girl's face. “And I think you know it as well.” A beat of silence. “But you think that you can’t have it and that’s why you’re always so angry.”
Vi rolls her eyes, immediately defensive. “Got me all figured out, don’t you?”
“Oh yes,” Kiramman says, and yeah, there it is: fucking smugness because the girl thinks she is so much better than everyone around her.
Her rich mother has probably drilled it into her head since the moment she was born. People like Kiramman enjoy nothing more than toying with other people they deem less important – and Vi should hate her. Vi does hate her.
Then why the fuck does she also want to push her up against that damn bathroom wall and fuck that privilege out of her?

“You’re going to visit the Kirammans and apologize.”
Vi blinks slowly once. Twice. She waits for the punchline of the joke but nothing else follows Vander’s insane request.
“You want me to apologize to some rich Piltie councilor for blowing up one shabby lab?” He’s got to be kidding. “Why? It’s not like they can’t afford to buy ten more of those. They probably wouldn’t even have noticed if the enforcers hadn’t made such a big deal out of it.”
“You’re not apologizing to Cassandra Kiramman,” Vander sighs and for the first time, Vi can see his age in his wrinkled brow and tired eyes. “You’re going to apologize to their daughter, Caitlyn.”
Vi frowns, “Daughter?” She didn’t know the Kirammans had a daughter. “Why the hell should I talk to their daughter?”
“Because Sheriff Grayson has told me that she’s been in the hospital since your little stunt topside.”
She stops pacing, her feet rooted to the old carpet as her blood runs cold.
Shit.

Jayce's lab still blows up but with a different outcome and Vi just can't let sleeping dogs lie.

Summary
She must stand there for longer than appropriate because an elderly woman eventually steps through the door and greets her with a warm smile, “Hello, dear. Is there something I can help you with?”
There is no malice in her voice, no hidden accusation or anger about Vi, an obvious Zaunite, standing in front of this fancy place. It should make her feel good but at this time, it only confuses her all the more.
“I was looking for Caitlyn Kiramman. Isn’t this–” Vi stops because she knows that this is supposed to be Caitlyn’s home. “Doesn’t she live here anymore?"
The woman’s face falls for the shortest of seconds before another, smaller smile crosses her face. “Oh, honey. You’ve been gone for a while, haven’t you?”
Vi frowns. “Yeah. Why?”

Vi breaks Jinx out of the bunker and leaves with her. Returning 'home' after almost a year leaves her with more questions than answers and the only person who can answer any of them seems to have dropped off the face of Runeterra.

Summary
Caitlyn is the kind of friend, the kind of person, who will be there for you no matter what.
So, really, it’s not that much of a surprise that Vi thinks about her more often than not. They live together, spend most of their time in each other's company. It’s only reasonable that the taller woman pops into Vi’s head from time to time.
What is decidedly not normal, or reasonable, or whatever the fuck else one might say, is thinking about your best friend while your on-again, off-again girlfriend is three fingers deep inside you.

Vi and Caitlyn are best friends and nothing more. Vi has never thought about it any other way. Totally.

“That I am a mess.” It kills her, how small and insecure Caitlyn sounds. Vi can’t think of anything she wouldn’t do to take this pain away from her. “That I don’t know what the hell I am doing.”
“No.” If they could, they sure as hell wouldn’t continue to crush Caitlyn with their ridiculous and most of the time unreasonable expectations. “Because you are scarily good at hiding your pain."
There is a lull in their conversation. Then, “From anyone but you, apparently.”

post council attack, Caitlyn tries her best to keep everything from falling apart, just not herself. Vi does what she can to help with that.

Summary
role reversal au: Vi grew up in Piltover for most of her life with her sister and adoptive father. When her friend Ekko took her down into Zaun and managed to get himself pickpocketed by children, Vi finds herself in a bit of trouble with the locals. She seeks refuge inside a brothel and ends up meeting Artemis, one of the brothel workers.
It doesn't take Vi long to figure out that she's actually Caitlyn Kiramman, daughter of a notorious chembaron and heiress to an undercity empire.
