Summary
Seokjin knew that nine years ago Rap Monster performed a show in a tiny club in Hongdae, had gone to the bathroom, and then had just…walked out. Never to be seen in the music industry ever again.
Which is why when Seokjin jerked awake in the middle of the night, his arms flaying in an uncoordinated attempt to fight off whoever was trying to murder him, he didn’t actually murder Jungkook. Mostly because Jungkook was so strong now and had pressed all of his weight on top of Seokjin—but also because he was practically yelling—
“New Rap Mon music just dropped on Soundcloud!”

Namjoon glanced at the computer screen and leaned over to hit ‘play’.
And Seokjin wasn’t sure what he had been expecting—
But it wasn’t this.
The song had a lo-fi melody. Easy to listen to in a way that Seokjin couldn’t explain. And he found himself closing his eyes as he listened to the sound of Namjoon’s voice. Listened to how it had taken on a softer quality than his early works. His delivery gentle but no less sure in Seokjin’s ears.
And Seokjin could hear it—the journey that Namjoon had been on.
He listened to Namjoon tell him about how someone could both love and hate a place they knew so well. About the same places and faces trapping you. About the comfort of the familiar. About the suffocating feeling of it. About the desire to break free, to run away. About the desire to return to places that are loved. About finding the balance between living and leaving.
And Seokjin wondered if by ‘Seoul’ Namjoon was talking about his own soul.

Summary
Hoseok knew Agust D before he ever knew Min Yoongi.
He had stumbled across the TikTok account late one night. He had been absently watching animal videos in bed while waiting to be exhausted enough to fall asleep. Somehow, someway in between watching cute cats and baby sheep the algorithm fed him a video—of a blank red rectangle. Visually there was nothing else. For a whole minute.
But the audio…
The audio made Hoseok sit up in bed and he turned up the volume on his phone. He placed the speaker by his ear as he played the video again.
It was music.
The beat was obviously hip hop influenced—but the melody was played on a piano. It made for a fascinating contrast. The hard driving beat and the light, flowing melody.
And before Hoseok knew it he was getting out of bed.
And before he knew it he was moving.

And Hoseok didn’t say it outloud but he had to agree. Namjoon had managed to put together some of the best bars Hoseok had ever heard. He shook his head. This was why he didn’t go to war against a genius.
Except…it turned out Agust D was a genius too.
His execution was hard hitting. His lyrics unforgiving and ruthless. His diction impeccable—and delivered at a speed that Hoseok hadn’t even known was possible. He ended a little out of breath. The mic managed to pick up the inhale and exhale. And then he laughed. A mocking cackle that sent a shiver down Hoseok’s spine.
And, no one, not even Namjoon or Jungkook said anything into the silence that followed. Namjoon just locked his phone and walked away. Hoseok and Jimin glanced at each other and Hoseok was pretty sure his eyes were as wide as Jimin's.
Taehyung gave a short, approving nod. “Don’t fuck with Daegu.”

Summary
Namjoon wondered if Seokjin remembered.
If Seokjin remembered the summer he had come back home from college tall and broad shouldered and blonde. His skin sun kissed, his eyes hidden by heart shaped sunglasses, his lips wrapped around a popsicle, a bead of sweat running down his neck as he complained about the heat.
It was arguably the summer that changed Namjoon’s life, but he would understand if Seokjin didn’t remember.
Why would he?

Summary
"This is not a date," Seokjin says frostily. "This is a highly important business meeting between superhero and supervillain. I hate you," he adds, just for good measure.
The softness in Namjoon's eyes is almost unbearable. "Okay," he agrees. "Can I still walk you home?"
Seokjin bites his cheek to prevent a smile and looks away. "If you insist."
-Seokjin is a villain. Namjoon is a hero. They are each other's destruction. And Seokjin is irrefutably, immeasurably in love with him.

“She said she loved me and then burned my family alive,” Derek blurts out, and then looks completely shocked at himself. “I… I don’t know why I just—I’ve never told anyone that before.” He’s looking at John suspiciously, like it’s his fault somehow. “Why would I tell you that?”
“Son, I don’t know. I can’t even get Stiles to tell me what he had for lunch.” John reaches out tentatively, resting a hopefully-comforting hand between Derek’s shoulder blades. “Does Stiles know?”
“No one knows,” says Derek flatly, and John’s heart breaks, a little bit.
“Oh lord, you are a mess, aren’t you,” he says, kindly. “I can see why Stiles is so fascinated, you know. Dumb kid can’t resist a challenge.”
Derek rolls his eyes. “He really can’t.”
“So are you going to let him down easy, then? You have to be very clear about not being interested; Stiles can get a little stubborn.” John is trying not to feel too relieved about this turn of events; after all, he hasn’t seen Stiles this excited about someone in years. It seems almost cruel that he’s going to have to suffer through yet another case of unrequited love before he even gets to college.
“Uh,” says Derek, biting his lip. He’s back to not looking John in the eye. “Well.”
“Oh my god,” says the sheriff. “You’re kidding me.”
“You already thought we were dating!” Derek points out. “Ten minutes ago!”
“Yeah, but now you’re telling me you were, what. Taking my 17-year-old son on what you thought were platonic movie dates while secretly pining for him?”
“I am not pining,” Derek protests, shiftily.
