Phainon squints at him, trying to figure him out. But it’s not like Mydei to be obtuse, the man had always been straightforward, sometimes to an infuriating degree. With Mydei, you can always be sure he only says what he means, so Phainon doesn’t think too much about it when he shakes his head.

“Nobody at all?” Mydei asks again.
Phainon, desperate to find love, begs his best friend Mydei to be his dating coach. After all, Mydei is so perfect, his opinion has to be worth his weight in gold, right?
