Finnick Odair, who I loathed, then grudgingly respected, then loved and lost. Not as a sweetheart or even a friend. A brother, I’d said. But what is that exactly? I think about our journey — everything from sniping with him in those early days in the quell to battling those lizard mutts. I guess that’s my answer. A brother is someone you fight with and fight for. Tooth and nail.
Finnick Lives AU where he survives the lizard mutts but is separated from Squad 451. It’s an exploration towards the later end of the dynamic between Finnick and Katniss.
Set towards the end of Mockingjay to pre-epilogue.
